Fun-Plex recently announced that it will be adding a mammoth-themed roller coaster this summer! Named the Mammoth, it will have more than 2,000 feet of track and rise more than 70 feet. It will be the largest roller coaster ever in Nebraska. Renderings of the coaster have not yet been released.

Fun-Plex opened at 70th and Q Streets in 1979 as the Kart-Ranch. Over time, it added miniature golf and pinball machines, followed by other attractions. It was renamed Fun-Plex in 1987 and became the largest amusement park in the state after Peony Park closed in 1994. The park even added a roller coaster in 2007, but it was eventually retired due to maintenance costs.

The park also features a go-kart track, which will be moved, a wave pool, a lazy river, water slides, a swim-up bar, a splash area, and other attractions.
