Indoor play centers have become increasingly popular over the years. When I was a kid, it started with places like Family Fun Center and Skateland. Today, there are more multi-purpose facilities like the Kroc Center and newer spots such as Urban Air, KIPP, and We Rock the Spectrum and it seems like they’re opening everywhere. It’s not hard to see why. These places aren’t just busy with birthday parties, but also on cold days like the ones we’re experiencing now.

Add Doze & Dig to that list. When it opens, it will be Nebraska’s first and only huge indoor sandbox. Designed for kids that are ages 8 and under, it offers a sensory-rich experience in a climate-controlled environment.

Kids will find 30 tons of sand in addition to hundreds of toys, including tractors, building blocks, trucks, loaders, bulldozers, sit-on excavators and a unique sand conveyor belt. For the builders, it will also feature a large kinetic sand area.

Parents either have the choice of playing in the and or relaxing in the lounge which will come equipped with a coffee bar, used books and a self-serve snack counter.

Visitors have the option of purchasing day passes or a membership as well as renting space for parties. Hours of operation and cost can be found on its website: https://www.dozeanddig.com/. Located at 18010 R Plaza Suite 103, Doze & Dig is targeting a May 2026 open date.
