Draftcade is the latest arcade + bar to open in Omaha. Like Beercade and Capitol Arcade, its tapping into nostalgia aimed at adults that grew up playing classic arcade games like Pac Man, Asteroids, Burger Time, NBA Jam, Galaga and the like.

Located at 114th and Miracle Hills Drive, they charge $10 for a wristband that allows you to play 75 retro arcade games, hoops, skeeball, pinball and more all day long! Personally, I love the idea of getting rid of quarters, tokens or card swipes in order to play a few games.

The bar offers 48 rotating tap beers, wine and specialty drinks. The kitchen menu includes appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, salads with house made dressing, bowls and even kids meals. While it’s clearly targeting adults, it also offers a few kids meal. Note that kids are allowed everyday and until 8 PM on Saturday and Sunday.

I know it won’t replace Family Fun Center for many of us but Draftcade is a nice option in West Omaha especially if you’re looking to catch a bite to eat while playing a few games or before/after checking out a show at Funny Bone next door.
