Just when you thought we were done with Med Center projects. This one is at the southwest corner of Farnam and Saddle Creek. Most recently the site had been the home to Parrish Alternative School. It was razed in 2013 to make way for the Campus Operations and Research Excellence Building.

The rendering shows what the 6-story CORE building will look like. It will serve as the cornerstone of the new campus and will be ideal for research that leads to product and drug collaboration and innovation.

The building is also being designed to accommodate a future pedestrian bridge crossing over Saddle Creek Road that will link the new campus to the main campus.

See below to read the history of the building that started as Rex Baking Company before becoming Parrish Alternative School.

Until next time, keep exploring!
