Welcome to Omaha Exploration! My name is Patrick Wyman. As the founder and writer of this page and its social media accounts, I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself. First and foremost, I love Omaha – it’s my hometown and where I live with my family.

I’ve always been fascinated by the history and stories of the places that surround me. When I moved to Midtown Omaha in 2019, I started researching and sharing these stories. After seeing the level of interest, I started this page and social media accounts in August 2023.

I often get mistaken for being a journalist due to my writing style. I am not a journalist nor am I an author. I consider myself an amateur historian and writer that enjoys sharing these stories as a hobby. My content is 100% AI-free but I am human and while I do my best to avoid mistakes, they do happen. This is a one-man show and I don’t have an editor so if you’d like to help me in that regard, please let me know of mistakes so I can correct them.

My intent is for OE to be a place where you can explore history, learn about new developments, beloved establishments, attractions, activities and more! While my primary focus is on Omaha, I occasionally explore other places depending on what interests me. I hope that his page encourages you to get out and explore all this city has to offer!
