Welcome to Omaha Exploration! My name is Patrick and I am the founder of this page and its own social media accounts. I was born in Omaha and have lived in the area most of my life.
Combining my passion for writing, research and history, I founded this page in 2023. I rely on variety of sources including newspaper archives, census records, sites such as Preserve Omaha, Omaha Heritage Preservation, e-Nebraska History, National Park Service, Durham Museum photo archives among others.
While I earn a small amount of money from this project, the majority is donated to Mustaches for Kids of which I’ve been a grower for more than a decade. The remainder is used to pay the costs associated with running this site. I make an occasional mistake so if you see something that isn’t right, let me know so that I can correct it.
My work has appeared on Grow Omaha, Blackstone Revealed Tour, Preserve Omaha, North Omaha History and Omaha History Club, among others.
