Indoor sandboxes have exploded in popularity in recent years. They offer a more traditional way for kids to play but in a climate-controlled environment (away from screens) while using their imaginations and interacting with one another.

While I posted about Doze & Dig a couple of months ago, a similar concept is Little Diggers Playspace. Opening this fall in West Omaha, it will feature a 1,200 square foot sandbox with more than 200 toys, trucks and excavators as well as a proprietary Sand Stacker, a conveyor with a crank that lifts and dumps sand.

In addition to open hours, it will host birthday parties, and the space will be available for field trips and other events. Little Diggers is a franchise that started in Ohio in 2023. The Omaha-location is owned by a middle-school teacher and veteran whose family is passionate about bring an opportunity for hands-on play to the area.

You can follow its website for more details when they are announced: Little Diggers – Your Neighborhood’s Largest Indoor Sandbox
