Last night I got the opportunity to attend the soft opening for Frosty Nights Christmas Village and Lights at Falconwood Park. This is the first year of the event which offers a fully interactive Christmas experience similar to what you might find during Halloween at some of the pumpkin patches.

Spread across 80-acres, you will follow a path that is lit up with lights and lined with local and regional vendors housed in 20 or so trailers/cabins. The small shops offer plenty of gift ideas ranging from holiday decor to toys, candles, jewelry, vintage clothing, books, records, candy and live ornament glass blowing.

In addition to food trucks, it has stands where you can get coffee, hot chocolate, and sweet treats, before reaching Santa Village. Inside, the large hall allows a place to warm up and pickup adult beverage as the little ones meet the big guy. The best part for my son was the two-story slide. Other attractions include live reindeer, character meet and greets, special pop-up performances, tree farm where you can purchase a tree or wreath. For adults, there’s even a Santa Rave on December 6th

We enjoyed that the merchants were local allowing the opportunity to support small business. Some of the vendors include Imaginarium, Hollywood Candy, City Limits, Ricky Stotts Glass, Wandering Page, Chlorophyll, Old House Omaha, Goldenrod Goods, MineDee’s Nuts, Kotachi Collective and many others.

Frosty Nights is unique for Omaha and I look forward to seeing it grow to an even bigger event in the future.
If you’re unfamiliar with Falconwood Park, it was a gathering place for the Czech community known as Sokol Park decades. Located in Bellevue, Brandon Miller and family bought the park in 2016 and turned it into a drive-in movie theater, concert venue and a place to celebrate corporate picnics, weddings and festivals.

Frosty Nights starts tonight and continues through January 1st. Tickets can be purchased on its website: Attractions – Falconwood Frosty Nights
