Here’s a fun fact about me: I’m a longtime grower for the non-profit Mustaches for Kids. If you are unfamiliar, we start clean shaven on May 1st and grow only a mustache for 30 days while raising money for local kid’s charities. This year it benefits Angels Among Us, Heart Heroes and Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Combined they provide support to families dealing with pediatric cancer, kids with congenital heart disease and make beds for kids who sleep on the floor. It’s important to note that all of the money raised stays right here in the Omaha area.

I know you’re here for the history, so here’s brief overview: Mustaches for Kids started in Omaha in 2009. What started with 30 guys raising $23k has grown to more than 300 guys this year! Three years in a row we have raised over $1M each year for our charity partners. Some of those wonderful organizations have included Nebraska Diaper Bank, Completely Kids, Kids Can, Child Saving Institute, Special Olympics, North Star, inCommon among many others.
