Nestled along Turner Boulevard between Leavenworth and Farnam Streets is the Dewey Park apartment complex that opened last year. To make way for the apartments, developers demolished a pair of two story triplexes with detached garages.

Many of the apartments 55 units are available at a cost that is less than market rate. That is possible as the developer opted not to incur the costs associated with building a parking structure. Instead, residents with automobiles have access to 38 surface level parking stalls. Units range from small studio apartments of 500 sq ft up to two-bedroom apartments of 840 sq ft.

This is just one of a number of apartment complexes being built in midtown to add density to the city’s urban core which has been neglected for decades. The location of this particular apartment building at 33rd and Jones is aimed at renters who prefer public transportation and want easy access to parks, trails and other nearby amenities.

Until next time, keep exploring!
